Judge and Jury: A Remarkable Pact Guest speaker, The Honourable Justice Catherine Wedge of the British Columbia Supreme Court, has roots tracing back to the Saskatoon at the University of Saskatchewan. She has presided over a spectrum of civil and criminal trials, including R. v. Atwal, the first Canadian trial of a so-called “honour killing”; Gaglardi v. Aquilini, litigation over the disputed ownership of the Vancouver Canucks hockey team; R. v. Haevischer et. al., (known as the “Surrey Six” for the six victims of a gangland slaying.
