McKercher LLP Saskatoon lawyer and partner, Curtis J. Onishenko honoured with King’s Counsel Appointment

December 19, 2022

Saskatoon lawyer and partner, Curtis J. Onishenko, joins the honoured list of King’s Counsel appointments.  Justice Minister and Attorney General Bronwyn Eyre announced December 19, 2022 several appointments, Curtis being one of them.  This is also the first time in almost 70 years that King’s Counsel, rather than Queen’s Counsel, designations have been awarded in Saskatchewan.

King’s Counsel appointments are based on recommendations from a selection committee consisting of Saskatchewan's Minister of Justice and Attorney General, the Chief Justice of the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan or the Chief Justice of the Court of King's Bench, and past presidents of the Saskatchewan branch of the Canadian Bar Association and Law Society of Saskatchewan.

McKercher LLP is extremely proud of Curtis and his prominence among the legal profession, as well as his great work in the legal community.  Congratulations!
