Taylor L. Wilcox

Taylor is an associate lawyer in McKercher LLP's Saskatoon office with a general litigation practice and a focus on debt realization, foreclosure, and bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring. He acts for clients including debtors, creditors, lenders, trustees, receivers, and business owners and brings a practical approach to resolving disputes and financial distress, both in the courtroom and at the negotiating table.

In his litigation practice, Taylor handles a broad range of civil and commercial disputes, acting on files from the pleadings stage through trial and appeal. He regularly advises clients on debt collection, foreclosure, and insolvency and restructuring issues, including receiverships, proposals under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, proceedings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, creditor remedies, and enforcement of security. Taylor's practice also includes construction law, shareholder disputes, and condominium law.

Taylor has appeared before the Provincial Court for Saskatchewan, Court of King's Bench for Saskatchewan, the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan, and various other tribunals and quasi-judicial bodies.

Taylor contributes regularly to professional education in his fields of practice. He has presented to the CBA Saskatchewan Branch, Canadian Condominium Institution Saskatchewan Chapter, and to various other groups, sharing practical insight with colleagues and industry professionals.

Taylor is committed to both the legal profession and the wider community. He is active with in the Saskatoon and Saskatchewan bar, serving most recently as the Chair of the Civil Litigation Section with Canadian Bar Association Saskatchewan. He is also presently serving as a board member with Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan.

Taylor received his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2019. He also holds a commerce degree from the Edwards School of Business in Finance at the University of Saskatchewan, in addition to a sociology degree.
